Rise
First of all, this is a food post with a LOT of food photos, so if you’re on a diet, I suggest you scroll faster. Kidding! Of course I want you to see how pretty the food were and to know what it was like having an early dinner at Rise, Marina Bay Sands lobby, Singapore!!!
For your info, to enjoy the whole buffet, you must pay 60+ SGD per pax. If you’re not into buffets, they also have a bar!
See how beautiful and breathtaking it is to eat there and enjoy the whole ‘height’ of the hotel lobby? Only a few would appreciate the fact that the height goes up to the 15th floor or so.
The desserts caught my attention, so it took me more time to shoot them than of the others.
Are you a fan of crème brûlée?
They looked scrumptious!
Mmmmm! Strawberries. I love Strawberries. Plus points to Rise because they used good ones.
This cake is heaven from afar and really looks like sponge, although this was for sale.

Brownies! These weren’t like the others. You could really taste the ingredients, especially the chocolate. Tasted whole. I also have this weird thing that I do with Chocolate and Vanilla-flavored ice cream in buffets. I mix them. But hey! They taste so good together! Might look a bit disgusting tho, but with the right kind of ice cream and chocolate treat(you can try Circles’ in Shangrila for both), it shall taste good. So yes, I did my thing in Rise, and surprisingly, got the taste I’ve always loved.

Ooh la la!
Loved their desserts! So photogenic!

These tasted so good! Like the ones in Sofitel!
Green tea and Chocolate-flavored mochis!
<3

Loved those prawns!

Yum yum yum! These are my musts whenever I go to buffets for dinner!
Quick photo with my bro!

Hmmm, overall, the dining experience was fine. Can not say it deserves five stars, but I had fun dining there. The food they had was exactly the same with what I get to eat in Spirals and Circles. But still, thumbs up to their desserts, Sushi, Prawns and Gnocchi!
王品牛排 (Wang Steak)
It was my second time to have dinner in Wang Steak and still, they did not disappoint me, and this time, instead of visiting the branch in Guangzhou, we went to their branch in Xiamen. Now, let me tell you about my little food ‘indulgence’ with my family.
First, they served us with their complimentary Seafood Consomme with Pastry which was really really tasty, and also served us their complimentary cocktails/champagne which made my eyes pop because I didnt know it was really really champagne that I was drinking until I asked the waitress(lol).
Then came the ordering part. I let my mom do the choosing for me since I’m not familiar with the other dishes they serve considering that I’ve been there once only, but I especially asked mum to order the 皇家牛排 and the Floral(Rose) Tea for me. Okay, so let’s start with the first dish they served for me.

I am not really a fan of Goose Liver, but their Goose Liver tasted so good. The mushroom below the crispy thing was so tasty and ‘juicy’. It was just like eating a salad! Just more delicious! Although I didnt like the crispy thing between the liver and the mushroom. After this, I also had a bowl of mushroom soup, which unfortunately, didnt get the chance to be taken a photo of. 5/5
So this was what I was talking about earlier! The 皇家牛排! It was half-cooked and I was fine with it because I’m usually the ‘medium-ware’ and ‘not so cooked’ kind of person. This was really delicious and satisfying! It is also topped off with little bits of mushrooms and beside it are slices of peaches, some ‘kamote’ and Broccoli. They also served us some Plum Juice/Tea to help us digest. 5/5

This, I didnt know my mom ordered for me. I somehow wish that she ordered the green tee ice cream for me instead, but still, I had fun eating this with my little sister! This is a Blueberry sort of cake, it is not soft though. 3/5

Floral Tea, or shall I call it ‘Rose Tea’. This is the one that I would really really love to share with you. They serve it with some dry ice below the rose in the middle, which makes you go ‘wooooow’. Can you see the ice cubes inside the glass on the right side? They’re made of water and rose petals. The small pitcher on the left is of course, the tea. You can see on the third photo what the drink will look like after pouring the tea to the glass with rose petal-ed ice cubes. This would be my favorite drink, if you’d ask me. It has the right amount of sweetness and gives you good vibes. 10/5 *_*
After the loooong dinner, they serve you with a plate full of fruits. What’s great about Wang Steak is that they also have a complimentary 宝宝餐 for the younger ones. They serve them in the right servings, enough to make anyone full! Greater thing is that the meat is cooked to perfection, they serve their signature vanilla ice cream, and many many more. All of the food I had that night was for 320 RMB, which is about 2100+ Philippine Peso. For me, everything you spend for inside Wang Steak is worth it, only if you are a lover of these kinds of foods!
If you do visit Xiamen, there is a branch in the new SM mall there. As for the one in Guangzhou, I am not clear with that, since I’ve only been there once. Anyway, what do you think about my food post? Did your mouths water? Because mine did as I was typing! Hahaha. So delish! Send me your opinions and queries, will you?
Lugang Cafe
Tonight, I am blogging about my second time in Lugang Cafe. HAHA.
First off, the very pretty lighting of Lugang Cafe. Their lightings were made of gold bottomless birdcages with little lamps(?) inside. To be honest, I’m a sucker for beautiful interiors, interiors that make me feel cozy and at ease. You may find my statement weird, but it is true.
This would be my favorite Strawberry-yoghurt shake ever. The flavor is so rich and it doesnt taste like the other cheap ones. It may be a bit pricey, but it is worth it, because it takes a long long time for you to actually finish the drink, you actually get to taste REAL stawberries, and the flavor stays a whole lot longer.
I forgot what this is called, but it has the word coconut on it. That, my friends, is real ice cream, lol. The whooooole thing tastes really good, considering that I’m inlove with it’s presentation and the fruits that surround the ice cream. Wanna know what that red thingy is? The one beside the Kiwi? Watermelon, shaped into perfection. Oh, wait, brb while I eat this in my dreams once again! *nomnomnomnom*
This, to be honest, I wasnt the one who ordered this, which is why I dont know what this one’s called, but basically its like some creme brulee with some red beans on it. It tastes good, but I wouldnt go gaga over it as much as I would for the other one. Thumbs-up to the food presentation though, and oh! their service deserves a 4 star! :)
Not a fan of desserts or sweets? Try their parade of dimsums! Especially the Xiao Long Bao, Three cups Chicken(not sure about the name, it was too delicious), and the rice they serve in Pineapples! :)
Anyhoo, here ends my little blog post about my experience in Lugang Cafe, I hope you didnt find my looooong introductions boring, because I exerted a lot of effort, hahaha. Oh, and for those who are interested to have a fun dining experience in Lugang Cafe, there’s one branch located in MOA, since that’s the only branch I’ve been to. :)
