3rd Week of May thru Instagram

The actual evidence on why I haven’t been taking photos with my dslr lately..Instagram’s been keeping me lazy, and I love it!! Anyway, this was what I wore to our family dinner @ Bubba Gump. (Top from ZARA, Skirt from Stravidarius, Shoes from Zara, Bag from Coach) 05202012
What I was supposed to wear on the 22nd to GAGA’s BTW ball, until my mother started …. anyway.. Top is from Calliope, Necklace from Yhansy, Pants from MANGO, Bag from Salvatore Ferragamo, Shoes from ZARA, and belt from Shanghai.

I can not tell you how I excited I was, so I’ll just ask this friend of mine(the photo) to tell you.
My favorite kind of sweets, Macarons! These were from Galette, Sofitel. I bought them after having our dinner buffet in Sofitel (before the BTW ball, whopee!!) They were fine fine fine, but not as good as the ones I’ve tasted in High Society, and in SweetSpot, Singapore. Sofitel’s Macarons still taste better than the one in French Baker (Sorry, FB, but don’t worry, your Beef Lasagna is still my favorite!) 05222012

Maxim’s Blueberry Panacotta, yummyyy! Bit sour on the bottom, tho. Too bad. From my Aunt from HK. 05232012
YAYYYY FINALLY GOT YSL’S Rouge Volupte in #10!! Do you like the way it looks on my lips? Hahahaha BECAUSE I DO

Haul for the whole week!! From L to R: Necklace from Yhansy Manila, Necklace from Wear Mauve, YSL lipstick, and Hello Kitty Keychain from my Auntie. Obviously, my love for gold won’t just die!!05242012.
Another of Maxim’s creations brought from HK! 05242012.

READY FOR MY TRIP TOMORROW NIGHT!! 05242012

Bubba Gump, Makati

RUN, FORREST, RUN!! STOP, FORREST, STOP! Exactly from the movie, Forrest Gump, Bubba Gump IS THE THING. Okay, for me, at least, since it’s my favorite restaurant growing up! It is definitely the must visit when you’re craving for Baby Back Ribs, Fish & Chips, Prawns, and delish smoothies. Promise.
Bubba Gump’s Blueberry Smoothie! You guys must try this out! It’s perfectly made!
Our favorite and must-order! A bit sad tho, since the amount of prawns get smaller each time we visit the restaurant..

This time, we decided to order something new, and what did we order? Popcorn shrimp! It was delicious, but I’m not a fan of it!

Jenny’s Catch with Mashed Potatoes! The fish definitely tasted good, for someone who doesn’t really like eating fish! Plus, the mashed potatoes were surprisingly (ok not surprisingly since Bubba Gump really has the best mashed potatoes) amazing and yummy! Definitely going to order this again the next time we go there!
I would show you two more photos of the other dishes, but they’re all in my brother’s phone (since my phone ran out of battery)! The other two dishes were Fish & Chips and Baby Back Ribs. To be honest, it’s hard to tell you about all the amazingness Bubba Gump offers, but I shall tell you, they’ve got the best Baby Back Ribs, Fish & Chips, Prawns/Shrimps/Gambas, Smoothies, and Mashed Potatoes everrrrr!!
That’s all!

同乐/Tung Lok
The Reception.
Interiors. Classy and cozy. Perfect. Spacious. The chairs were pretty good and comfortable to sit on. The feel that the curtains gave was also great.

Oops. It’s a five star restaurant.
Now, we venture into my dining experience in Tung Lok, Vivo City, Sentosa.
Lemonade. Costly, but perfect. Wasn’t too sour, wasn’t too sweet either.

WIY (Wrap-it-yourself) Goose Liver Lumpia (?). This was definitely good, unlike the ones I’ve tasted in another hotel buffet. The goose liver didn’t leave an ugly feeling in my throat. I ended up wanting another serving. GOOSE LIVER.

OMG FIRE ON MY PLATE NEAR THE BOWL ON MY SOUP!! . I was definitely in awe when this was served! The soup was made of Shark’s Fin and a whole lot more. Tasty.
Lobster. It was fine. Not a fan of lobsters though.

Finely cooked pork. No joke. This was scrumptious. Wasn’t a pain for my teeth.

I don’t know what this dish is called, but all I know was that I was mortified when they served this. I hate baby fishes. I really do. This dish is topped with Scallops(which surprisingly tasted good), baby fishes (oh no), and below the toppings are some noodles.

Vanilla Ice Cream topped with Chinese cereal on Mango pudding inside a coconut shell. THAT WAS LONG, OKAY. Sorry for the lack of knowledge about these dishes’ names. This, I think, is their signature dessert! Even if I am allergic to Mangoes, I still tried this. It didn’t hurt, and it was very rewarding! Yummy!
That’s all! I hope you found my little food post fun to venture in, as I had fun reminiscing the dinner I had in Tung Lok! I would definitely recommend you guys to visit Tung Lok when you go to Singapore! Definitely worth it.
**Tung Lok is located at Vivo City, Sentosa, Singapore.
莆田/Putien
Putien was mistaken as a Japanese restaurant by yours truly. It is definitely a Chinese restaurant. But hey! It’s interior gave me a Japanese feel, what can I do?
Anyway, let me tell you about my experience in Putien, Marina Square, Singapore. It was actually fine for a first-timer. They had different sizes of their dishes. What a perfect way to save money and not waste food. Although the place wasn’t spacious at all, I even saw customers requesting for the tables outside since it was spacious there. Ok, the photos.
See? A mix of Japanese and Chinese feel? Now, I’m confused. OK. ORIENTAL?
While we were waiting for our food to be served, I took photos of what took my attention. The photo above shows you their special slash original recipe for their spice. Below, you can see what’s inside.
It smelled so good when I took the little lid off. But I am not a fan of chili.
Their little mug..
And eventually our orders came rushing by.. this was what I had as a drink. I think it’s Sour sop? or Passion fruit? My dad ordered it for me.

Intestines..not sure if these were of a pig’s, but these sure tasted like no other! 4/5!!

Mazhou mian. More like a different version of fried noodles, but tastier. There’s a story behind this little dish!

I don’t know what this dish is called (sorry, I wasn’t the one who ordered but I’ll make sure I’ll take note of the dishes’ names next time!), but these are made of Taro, and they sure taste like Chicken. Wish I ordered some more! This was my favorite throughout the whole meal. Still craving for this.

Plain old boring, I guess. Since I’m Chinese and I get to eat this a lot when we go abroad. But, these were also good..

Garlic Chicken that didn’t even let me taste the ‘GARLIC’ part of it. Flawless but tasteless.

All in all, the bill was 96 SGD(which costs around 3k+ here). For me, it wasn’t worth it, but overall, the experience was good, maybe a 3/5, but a 5/5 for the Taro dish (ha ha ha). Would I go back? Maybe for the Taro dish, Mazhou Mian, and the Intestines.
