1st week of June taken with Instagram : Pt I

Hello, again! This already marks my third IG post this week! Anyway, the photo above shows my first ever What’s in My Bag entry! As you can see, for June 1, I brought my L’Occitane Cherisier Princesse Hand Cream, Work I.D., 2 Paul Frank x Lip Smacker lip balms, Coach by Coach miniature perfume, YSL travel make up kit, YSL Rouge Volupte #10, Trusty comb from VS Sassoon, Prada wallet, and bobby pins with me. It’s obvious that I bring a LOT of stuff with me when I go out…

And, yes, the photo above shows the outfit I had for that day(for work and unplanned shopping in the afternoon, oh no). To elaborate more on the outfit, I wore my black polo from Calliope, shorts from EDC, watch from Nautica, sandals from Staccato, and of course, Envelope clutch from Achi J.

Voila! The outfit I actually built in 15 minutes of checking ZARA’s clothes with Achi J that afternoon, after failing to pick my watch from Kenneth Cole for some reason! Don’t you just like the top, skirt and the shoes? I am in a bit of remorse, because I left the shoes, but oh well, I wouldn’t spend money on shoes I can not ‘keri’.

And finally, after a long long wait and my looong money-saving process, I bought Mango’s semi-cat-eye sunnies na! YAYYYYY happy beeee

This photo sums up the stuff I got for that day. :)

June 2, 2012. After a long day of bonding with my Beijing tourmates, I got to share with my IG followers my utter glee when this watch from Kenneth Cole finally went home with me.

I was actually a bit sad that evening when I went home without buying the novels I wanted (because there was a long long queue in NBS), but surprise! My books from Fully Booked arrived! Great timing!

June 3, 2012. Tadaaa! What I wore to Tagaytay the day before my parents’ 18th anniversary! :) Top from M&S, skirt from Stravidarius, watch from Kenneth Cole, clutch/wallet from Coach, flats from Staccato, and sunnies from Mango.

I love being able to share with you a part of my life taken with Instagram! Now, these photos are just parts of my photo diary on Instagram, if you DO (I said, DO, I am not asking you to!) want to get your daily dose of my craziness (hahaha), please follow me on IG! @elisecathlene

Leatherbound Classics

You can never imagine how I felt when I realized that I get to bag these classics for a very reasonable price!

These are the two classic books my father bought for me as we were looking at furnitures in one of the shops located at one of the famous Furniture Malls in Foshan.  I was actually in awe when I saw that certain furniture shop having lots and lots of books displayed in their own bookshelves. I checked a lot of their books until I saw Dante’s Divine Comedy and told my dad that it was definitely a classic and the book itself was amazingly produced. Later did I know that they’re selling the books for 100RMB(Big ones, as the sales stated) and 70RMB for the latter. Although for these books, they bought it for 280RMB each(Almost 1820php), and sold them for 100RMB(650+php) each, so it was definitely a great price for me!

Being also a book lover, my father eventually asked me if I wanted to buy the book. I said no, since I’m pretty sure I won’t understand Dante’s amazing poems, so I went to check the other books and decided I’d get The Iliad and The Odyssey instead, since I’ve had a glimpse of it when I was in 3rd year, and I feel that I didn’t really have the chance to understand it.

I was almost leaving the shop with only one book, until I saw Grimm’s Complete Fairy Tales. As a younger me, I read one of Grimm’s works, The Sister’s Grimm,  published by Scholastic, and must I say, I definitely loved reading that book! So, in short, seeing this book was a little miracle for me, since I get to relieve my younger days and get to wander again and get lost in a world full of fantasies. You could really tell that I was definitely so happy when I saw it!

See the beautiful details on the back cover of the book?

I’m always a girl about gold details, so this part definitely caught my eye! I’m already excited to start reading! But I still have several books I have to finish before I read this! Anyway, if you guys are interested in buying these books, Barnes & Noble will cater to your needs, since they’re the one who’s selling them! You can buy them online, you see! **Other titles I wish I could get are The Chronicles of Narnia, Hans Christian Andersen’s The Complete Fairy Tales and of course, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Other Stories.

Book I just finished reading: The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen
