Minty Mullet

This is yet another outfit post, you see. Any changes you’ve noticed? Well, if you haven’t noticed any, let me tell you. I let my hair down this time, plus it’s a little messy! Ha ha.So, here we go again.. I wore this last Saturday (06092012) to MOA for a little family bonding (includes watching Madagascar 3, yes, great movie, and having dinner at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe, no, not worth it).
Voila! This may just be my favorite photo of me at the moment. Love how my sunnies from Mango actually bags the focus. Oh, and by the way, have you noticed anything new? Because I wore Dior’s Haute Coleur #028. It’s shade is a play between red and pink, a bit salmony, perhaps.

As you can guess, I used the mullet skirt I recently bought from ZARA as the keypiece of the whole outfit. I wanted my look to be powdery and balanced, and that is why I actually went with white for the powdery feel, and gold, orange, and black for the kind of balanced feel I wanted.

Definitely a ‘I will never regret purchasing this’ necklace! It actually fits well and gives color to any out fit that’s not too dark. Upon building the outfit, I actually had 3 necklaces as options, two from Yhansy and one from Mauve. This was the first one I tried on, and unexplicably, I didn’t try the other two anymore! This is definitely a must buy from Yhansy!

If you have been following me since the first week of May in Instagram (@elisecathlene), you would’ve noticed that I’ve been overusing this beautiful top with guipure sleeves from ZARA without any doubt.

And since I wanted a balanced look, I opted for black for the bag I’m going to use. Use, I did, one of the hand-me-downs I got from my mother from Christian Dior. Red would be odd, you see.

Poker face? I don’t know. Know what, I actually have a photo of me in this outfit with my skirt flying (with the use of my room’s air filter hahaha) but ended up deleting it, because I didn’t like the outcome. OH WHEN WILL I HAVE MY OUTFIT PHOTOS TAKEN OUTDOORS WHEN. Ok, maybe in college. Speaking of college, omgggg, they’ve already given out the UPCAT forms and I can feel the tension starting already!

And of course, without any doubt, I chose this pair of shoes from ZARA to complete my outfit. This pair of shoes shouts confidence, for me, at least. Anyway, what do you think about this outfit of mine? Did you find the lighting better?
Goodies
Hello, everyone! Now that almost all my Singapore-related posts are coming to an end, I will be sharing some photos of the goodies I’ve bagged for the last day of April and the first week of May. Hope this doesn’t bore you! :)

A dress from Warehouse and two cutesy keychains from Kaboom @ Changi airport. Guess which keychain’s mine? //04-30-2012

Finally got my hands on this! The only thing I’ve anticipated for when we were in the airport. It’s YSL’s Rouge Volupté in #7! Makes me feel extra extra girly! //04-30-2012

The Santana, The Sienna and The Cleo! Came home to the package I’ve been waiting for ever since I ordered from Deux! Thank you, Miss Raiza and Miss Melissa! These are more than what I’ve expected! Definitely for keeps!

Paul Frank x Lip Smacker mix of 6 lip gloss collection and Paul Frank x Lip Smacker lip gloss pot in Chachi’s Fried Ice Cream from my favorite uncle as a late birthday gift! He knows me too well, you see! I’ve been eyeing on these ever since SASA (HK) released this line of Paul Frank x Lip Smacker products! //05-03-2012

Crocs’ Jayna flats in Petal Pink!! I was actually torn between this and their Thea at first, but with the help of my bestfriend, I made up my mind! I actually bought this for my ‘religious’ trip to Xiamen->Lamhai, because there will be a lot of walking and mountain thingy? I think. Anyway, what do you guys think about this purdy pair? I’d like to know! //05-04-2012
Paul Frank x Lip Smacker Sheree’s Sweet Sugar Berry Lip gloss. Made my Paul Frank x Lip Smacker fetish contented. Enough is enough. This is by far, my favorite!! Smells sooooo good!! //05-04-2012

After another looooong day of work, I went home to these pretty harlow-like necklaces from Yhansy, and must I include, I was so impressed with their good + fast service and pretty packaging! They even gave me 3 15% off coupons to use when I visit their store! (I HOPE TO USE THEM!!) Definitely worth it, and looking forward to buying more from Yhansy!! //05-04-2012

It was definitely a surprise when I saw these items enclosed in a parcel right after coming out of the shower! Seeing Achi Abi’s/HEART by Abbey’s products gave me the ‘I’m itching to travel again!’ feeling! I’ve always loved Achi Abi’s creations(her AMAZING hand-painted bags), but seeing her travel-themed items gave another reason for me to love her and her shop more! She puts herself into her customers’ shoes (I guess that statement of mine is enough!), and that is also one of the many reasons why we all love her! So, Achi Abi (even if you’re supposed to be called Achi Abbey hihihi), thank you so much for bringing these wonderful items into my life and for keeping me from having a hard time to choose a planner for next year! <3 //05-05-2012

Yet another surprise as these arrived! Thank you, Yhansy! Definitely love their packaging and their amazing items! //05-09-2012

Edgy But Girly

Top from Zara
Necklace from Yhansy
Skirt from Shanghai
Wedges from ZARA

Bag from Forever 21
I think I really enjoyed playing with the clothing I had to build this little outfit of mine last night! I wanted it to have my usual mix and match of colors and for it to stay ‘me’.
If you find this look plausible then please hype it on lookbook! :)
Anyway, what do you think about this look? :)
