What happens when two friends-aspiring artists-crazy girls-art lovers collaborate? Well, the work of art above can tell you.
To be honest, Maxine was just a ”somebody” for me until I met her last year and grew to love her. Maxine is a ball of colorful embroidery thread. Why? I can tell you. She talks about the most interesting things, it’s also seldom that she gets the ”artist’s block”, she’s a sweeeet little kitten(ok kitten sounds horribly weird, let’s go with purr), her world is colorful, she giggles a lot (back off, sweetie, you do), she’s full of positivity and I’ve never seen her frown (true). Ok, enough, because I fear that Maxine might start shedding rainbow-colored tears of joy or kill me.
Now, I shall tell you about our collaboration. I’m not saying that we’re professionals and our works are as amazing as professional artists’ works, but hey, this is already an accomplishment for the both of us! K. So.. it all started when Maxine mentioned us having a collab (duh, how would one be possible if none mentions it, wow Elise why). It wasn’t easy for us to think of a theme, but we kind of went with my idea : Maxine, turning the left part of the collab into her idea of ”New York at Daytime”, and me, turning the right part of it into my idea of ”Shanghai at Night”. Aaaaaaand.. of course, she was the first one to finish because I just finished my part earlier this week. Meep.
Tadaaaa! I’m lost in words because this, for me, is a successful collaboration. Thank you so much, Maxine, for allowing me to work with you! Love you, girl! PLUS! This girl just got hired by yours truly to make my banner and side bar stuff! Can’t wait to show you guys the outcome on August! <3
